Family School Calendar helps parents follow public school calendars and meal menus for supported Newport-Mesa schools. This policy explains the small amount of information the app uses to provide that service.

What we collect

The app does not require an account, name, email address, or location. If you enable lunch reminders, we store an anonymous app-generated device ID, your Apple push-notification token, selected grades, time zone, and reminder time. These details are used only to send the lunch reminder you requested.

When you use the app or website, our hosting and database providers may process basic technical information, such as IP address and request logs, to operate and protect the service.

How we use and share information

We use notification settings only to deliver requested reminders and keep the app working. We do not sell personal information, run advertising, use analytics for advertising, or track you across other apps or websites.

We use Vercel to host the service, Supabase to store notification subscriptions, and Apple Push Notification service to deliver reminders. They process information only to provide these services.

School information

Calendar and menu information comes from publicly available school, district, parent organization, and nutrition-service sources. Family School Calendar is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Newport-Mesa Unified School District, Woodland Elementary, Kaiser Elementary, or the Kaiser Woodland PFO. Always confirm important information with the official source.

Retention and deletion

We keep notification subscription details only while they are needed to operate the reminder service. You can turn off reminders at any time in the app. To request deletion of the remaining notification record, email us from the Support page and include the email address you would like us to reply to. We will confirm when the record has been removed.

Children

The app is designed for parents and caregivers. It does not ask for children’s names, birthdays, photos, or school records.
